Increase in height in non-GHD patients born SGA

a Based on Dutch national reference.
Norditropin® Prescribing Information1 and data on file.2

Non-GHD patients with short stature born SGA and who had no catch-up growth by age 2-4 years were evaluated in a multicenter, randomized, double-blind, 2-arm, dose-response study (n=53).1,2 Seventy-two (72%) percent of patients reached adult height within the study period (n=38). Adult height was defined as height velocity below 2 cm/y. Of the 38 patients who reached adult height, 19 received 0.033 mg/kg/d and 19 received 0.067 mg/kg/d. Treatment with Norditropin® was continued to adult height for up to 13 years. Height velocity, adult height, and height standard deviation scores (HSDS) were analyzed and compared with the Dutch national reference population.1,2

A 13-year Norditropin® study followed children born SGA to adult height:1

  • 38 out of 53 patients (72%) reached adult height1
  • 24 out of 38 patients (63%) who reached adult height were within the normal range (SDS >–2)1,2

Norditropin® provides long-term improvement in height SDS1

  • Greater height gains were seen in the higher dosage group1

In four clinical trials with 308 patients, Norditropin® was proven safe with a dosage up to 0.067 mg/kg/d1,3
